Asking the love of your life to marry you is one of the most memorable and exciting moments you will experience in your life. Proposing to my wife is one of my favorite moments I’ve ever had. I remember when I proposed to her I was SO nervous. However, I also remember being extremely happy and excited!
I put a lot of work into how I was going to propose. I wanted it to be special for my wife. All the planning and organizing came down to that single moment when I popped the BIG question. Thankfully everything went as planned and she really enjoyed how I proposed to her. Oh, and most importantly…she said YES!
Here’s a photo of us right after I asked her to marry me…
I recently read a 2011 survey by The Knot and Men’s Health that found 26 percent of women did not like how they were proposed to. Think about it…that means over a QUARTER of married women out there don’t like how their husbands proposed to them!!! Crazy…huh?
Now, that might not sound like too many women until you look at these numbers…
Every year in the United States, there are over 2 Million marriages. Currently there are over 160 Million married couples. A quarter of 160 Million is 40 Million. That means 40 MILLION women do not like how there husbands proposed to them…wow! Pretty crazy, huh?
I think these numbers need to be changed.
So, if you’re thinking about popping the big question, put some thought and effort into it. A marriage proposal is a memory that will last a lifetime, so make sure you do it right. Come up with a game plan and take some notes from the guy in this video….
