Henry Ford was an amazing man. He was the founder of Ford Motor Company and revolutionized the automotive industry. His use of the assembly line and creation of the Model T made automobiles affordable for the average American.
Ford was an innovator, visionary and certainly achieved amazing things during his lifetime. Here are 6 great life lessons we can learn from Mr. Ford…
1. Learn From Your Failures
“Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more wisely.”
When pursuing your goals and dreams there will be obstacles, challenges, and difficulties. It is part of the journey to success. At times you WILL fail…but that’s okay! It’s part of the process.
Learn from your mistakes and failures and start over!
2. Never Stop Learning
“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.”
This is one of my favorite quotes from Mr. Ford. I believe that in order to continue to grow as an individual you must continue to learn. Once you stop learning, you stop growing.
Self-improvement aligns with increased knowledge, self-growth and self-development. If you want to keep your mind young and achieve your goals, never stop learning.
Read books, take classes, try new things, or go back to school. Make the decision to commit yourself to a lifelong dedication to learning.
3. Keep Your Eye On the Prize
“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.”
It can be easy to become distracted when pursuing your goals. Challenges and obstacles can make it seem as if you will never achieve your dreams.
Never take your eyes off the prize. Stay focused on achieving your goals. By doing so you will remain focused, inspired, and dedicated to achieving your dreams.
Don’t let difficult times deter you…focus on your goals and visualize how great it will be when you achieve them.
4. Use Your Time Wisely
“It has been my observation that most people get ahead during the time that others waste.”
It can be easy to become distracted with cell phones, social media, and television. We are fed a constant stream of information which distracts us from our goals.
Our time on earth is limited, but the things you can accomplish during your lifetime are not. In order to achieve greatness, you have to use your time wisely and efficiently.
5. Believe In Yourself
“Whether you think that you can, or that you can’t, you are usually right.”
If you believe that you can accomplish your goals and dreams, you are more than half way there. To achieve anything in life you must believe in yourself and what you are capable of.
Many people do not even try to accomplish their goals and dreams because they don’t believe in themselves they don’t believe they are capable of achieving their goals.
Believe in yourself, your capabilities, and your goals. Anything is possible if you believe it!
6. Nothing Is Difficult
“Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs.”
When we look at the overall challenges that we face they can seem overwhelming. We tend to overcomplicate things in our minds. However, if you break things down into smaller, more achievable tasks, the overall obstacle suddenly is more achievable.
Start small, and keep things simple.
